A Bit About Me
Introduction
Graham specializes in creating a safe, inclusive environment for participants to explore trauma, PTSD, and spiritual growth. His background in Existential Analysis and Internal Family Systems (IFS) enables him to offer personalized support during one-on-one sessions and group integrations. Graham also helps with logistics and participant-focused coordination to ensure a supportive and nurturing retreat environment. Graham holds a Graduate Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy from Vancouver Island University.
Graham's Journey
In 2017, Graham was invited to attend a lecture on Narcissism by Alfried Längle, the founder Existential Analysis (EA). Alfried's understanding, and the EA approach to such a challenging form of suffering was so compassionate and vibrant, Graham decided he wanted to learn more. Even though he was working in the tech industry at the time, the Existential Analysis trainers in Canada welcomed him into the program. Graham completed his Basic Certificate in EA in 2022. He continues to work on his clinical certification in EA and is currently a student enrolled in the the EA M.Sc program at the University of Salzburg, Austria.
When pursuing his Diploma in Professional Counselling, Graham encountered Gestalt therapy and began to incorporate more immediacy, the here-and-now relationship between client and therapist, in his work. After earning his Diploma, Graham began training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), with a focus on how IFS can support us to encounter and process grief. Graham completed formal training in IFS with with IFS Counselling Association in Canada and the IFS Institute in Chicago.
Graham was fortunate to complete his practicum training in counselling therapy with Dragonstone Counselling, under the guidance of Carsen Farmer and Renee Parker. Dragonstone has a rich history supporting LGBTQ2S+ folks, people of all genders, orientations, backgrounds, cultures, and sub-cultures. Graham shares Dragonstone's values of providing counselling that promotes holistic healing, social justice, diversity and community.
While training in EA and IFS, Graham discovered Michael Pollen's books "How to Change Your Mind" and "This Is Your Mind on Plants". Seeing the healing potential of psychedelic and empathogenic medicines, Graham pursued formal training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PAT) from Vancouver Island University. Graham completed his practicum work with Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy in the Netherlands in 2024 and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy in Canada in 2024. The expanded awareness and neuroplasticity that psychedelic and empathogenic medicines provide can become powerful allies on our journeys of self healing and personal growth.
